Architecture audit
Know what your system really needs next
An independent review of your application and automation stack by engineers who run production systems every day, ending in a plan you can act on.
What we review
Six areas, one clear picture
-
Architecture and code
Structure, data model, test coverage, and how easily the system can change.
-
Performance and scaling
Load behaviour, caching, database and queue design, and where the system will break first.
-
Security
Measured against our written baseline: bot and abuse defense, two-factor sign-in, email security, server hardening, and incident playbooks.
-
Automation and integrations
n8n workflows, AI agents, APIs, webhooks, and how credentials are handled.
-
Delivery and operations
CI/CD, environments, feature flags, monitoring, error tracking, and backups.
-
Upgrade path
Framework and dependency versions, and a safe order to bring them up to date.
What you get
Three documents you can act on
-
01
Assessment report
What we found, how serious each finding is, and the evidence behind it.
-
02
Prioritized roadmap
The improvements in the order that pays off first, sized so you can plan them.
-
03
Risk assessment
What could fail, how likely it is, and what to do before it happens.
Example
Scaling a live app to 25,000 users
The same review, applied to a live platform. For IT FITS, a nutrition and fitness app, our scaling work included:
- Performance optimization of the backend and API
- Independent load testing: 10,000 to 25,000 concurrent users made 1.2 million requests with zero errors
- 95th-percentile response time of 0.4 to 0.6 seconds under that load
- Auto-scaling AWS architecture: load balancing, a Multi-AZ database, and a Redis cache
- A plan for the framework upgrade
Common questions
Good to know
Can you also carry out the roadmap?
Yes. You can take the roadmap to your own team, or engage us for Custom Development or an Automation Build to deliver it.
Do you review automation as well as code?
Yes. n8n workflows, AI agents, webhooks, and credential handling are part of the review, because that is often where the hidden risk sits.
What does ongoing advisory include?
Continuing technical leadership: monthly strategy sessions, architecture reviews of new work, and priority support when something needs a decision fast.
